Anyone remeber this horse?? Awhile back someone on IPRBRA posted a link to a stallion that the owners swore was turning black not grey or something like that. That was way back at least in 2000.... Always wondered what happen to him...anyone know??

I remember that, he was a smutty palomino Morgan. Sometimes the smutty gene can spread so it covers the whole horse. What was cool is that no one would have ever known he was genetically palomino without gene testing! I just don't remember his name...

I found him: www.allbreedpedigree.com/roulettes+gold He of course went Grey and from what I can tell they sold him and he got gelded when they realized he was really a grey. Can't find any photos of him though apparently the woman got really upset and sold him and pulled his pictures off the web and he sold to someone who gelded him and used him for riding only. Here's one of his foals though: www.youtube.com/user/gatewayfarm#p/a/u/0/K4YiUPIONpsHope that horse looks better clean cause I'm not really impressed with him in that video.

Got upset? Why...because she thought she had some super rare horse she could exploit and make a ton of money off of?

Crazy lady kept saying he wouldn't grey and would only hve palomino foals....

I think it got a little nasty with people arguing with her actually. I don't know I think there comes a point where you shouldn't harass stupid people just because you know you're right. They should've just left it alone and let her see him grey out on his own instead of people emailing her and telling her she was an idiot. It's one thing to send them a polite email saying 'according to real horse genetics this horse is a grey' and it's another to keep arguing and laughing about it when the owner won't listen. And yes she did think she had a really rare 'Palomino Going Black' horse and didn't like him as a grey I guess. Really no worse than I've seen a lot of other people using to promote their horses. Real breeders get...creative...sometimes.

That's pretty obviously grey. The white on the bottom of the tail gives him away. Would be neat to see some pix of him year-to-year!
